Hi! My name is Edwin Santiago.

I’m a Former Professional Basketball Player, Athlete, and currently a Movement & Performance Coach. I’ve helped hundreds of hoopers and athletes learn how to improve their movement patterns to become the most elite athletes they can be. 

I’m here to tell you the truth about why you might be struggling with playing basketball and feeling like your body is breaking down. Here is the biggest problem you are facing now. It’s the massive amount of time stretching before playing basketball that your body will start to move better all of a sudden…

But this is not the end of the problem. It gets worse! Why? Because most of the time, just stretching will not help you improve your overall movements when you play basketball.

And the sad part about this is that you believe you will start to move better because the stretch feels good. But it only feels good temporarily, and the changes don’t last long.

This means you will still move and play the same, and you won’t have a real solution to help you have long-lasting change.

So basically, you’re wasting your time, which means you believe there is no real solution, or is this just how my body feels because I’m getting older?

I’ve helped hundreds of people and athletes overcome issues like knee pain, plantar fasciitis, lower back pain, sciatic pain, hip stiffness, hip impingement, IT Band Syndrome, and SI (sacroiliac joint) joint pain. Performance limitations like running, squatting, deadlifting, lunging, bench pressing, and overhead pressing without having them use any of the traditional rehab methods that you would typically use, like static stretching.

I want to share a quick story with you

When I first to moved to Miami, I was 27. I moved to my hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, back in 2016. 

Before moving, I played professional basketball in Puerto Rico and worked in a Physical Therapy Clinic and personal training/sports performance training for about four years. 

I moved down here because I got hired by a gym as a personal trainer and performance coach. 

When I started working in Miami, I knew I wanted to help people move and perform better for longevity purposes and without pain or limitations. 

As I would play pick-up basketball or in leagues, I noticed that the same hoopers would say, “hey man, you move so well when you play ball….like you move very fluid.” And then something magical happened…

I realized then that all the things I’ve learned in the past 10-12 years as a movement and performance coach could be super helpful and valuable to older hoopers so they could move more fluidly—Guys who were over the age of 30 years old. 

Some of the younger hoopers I played with, and against thought, I was around 25-27 years old. Once I told them I was 34 years old, they were shocked and couldn’t believe it. 

Suddenly I had an AHHA moment when I took a breathing course at Postural Restitution Institute. During the period, I was amazed by how much breathing was involved regarding performance and movement for athletes. 

I started adding these new breathing exercises and other additional movements I’d learned myself before playing basketball to begin to sense the change in my hip mobility and spine. 

And what would you know, they started to have long-lasting changes faster than any other traditional method. 

And the best part about it was that I didn’t have to stretch static. Every exercise I did for myself involved a specific position (athletic position) that incorporated breathing. 

And that is why I am so excited to share this with you, so you can feel more fluid with your movements when you play ball!
